November Currently and A New Product

Hello!

YAY!!! Look at me here.... I am blogging 2 times in a week. Did you hear??? TWO. TIMES!!! I am so proud of myself! I'm thinking that I will also hit all green lights on my way to work tomorrow. :) I actually was looking forward to being part of the Farley's Currently linky party but did not see the November Currently until after Nov. 1... which is just fine withe me because it gave me some extra time. :)

1. Listening -  I been turning on worship music and lighting a candle every day, all day. I remember reading in a blog how it really just sets the tone of your house. I LOVE it!! It's definitely been more calming here in the midst of crazy busy schedules. I also LOVE LOVE hearing my kids sing along!!

2. Loving - Like I said, I've been lighting a candle every day .... ALL day when we are home. It makes the house smell nice and when the kids wake up for school, the house smells yummy already. :) You should try it. My hubby says that the smell just makes him hungry for french toast. Ha! NOT good for our diets! lol

3. Thinking that I need to send out my party invites. Last year a few of my friends threw a Favorite Things party... like Oprah's favorite things show. I want to host it this year. It's so fun because everyone goes home with something special. It's a blast and I will have to write a post about it when I do it.

4. Wanting some nice sweaters and new boots. Every time I go clothes shopping I get distracted with other things and buy everything BUT what I went in the store for. In the end ...no fall sweaters and no cute boots. I need to stay FOCUSED!!  I love bundling up in the colder months!!

5. Needing to finish my report cards. 'Nuff said! Boooo!

Favorite pin - French Toast Bake!!! Yummy!!! I've tried it and it's a hit every time I make it! It's so easy and super yummy!! That is what I like... little effort...BIG rewards!! :) I mean, just LOOK at all that gooey goodness there!! This is from Rachel Sheldon's blog here. I found her on Pinterest.

And now for my new product....

I am SO excited to share this with y'all! I talked about this product in my Five for Friday linky party but I wanted to highlight it here.

I've been wanting to create this writing unit ever since I began TPTing. I've been using these writing resources ever since I began teaching 13+ yrs ago. I've updated and revised it and now I am ready to share it.

October Currently

Ok.. Ok... So I'm going to admit that I am just plain horrible at keeping up with my poor little blog. I tried to hide it, and even lie to myself... but as the school year progressed and then add in sports, homework, TPTing, mommy and wifey duties.... I'm just a mess at night! By the time night time rolls around, I am useless and just want to spend the rest of my day rocking back and forth in the corner of my living room.  How do you super mama teachers out there do it?? ANY advice would be greatly appreciated!

So I am here linking up with Farley at Oh Boy 3rd Grade.  I like parties... so here I am.. useless and all... BUT I'm here! Haha!!

Listening: I love watching X Factor. I love the judges this year!

Loving: I job share so I work Mon- Wed. This week my principal has me going to a Thinking Maps workshop on Thursday and Friday so I switched my working days to Wed-Fri and so my awesome principal got me a sub for Monday and Tuesday. Yay!!

Thinking: I NEED glasses! My eyes are killing me and it's gotten to the point that I'm having constant headaches.

Wanting: Like I mentioned... I want to get more blogging done. I'm not ignoring my blog on purpose...... I promise.  I just need more hours in the day.  I am seriously open to any help in this area!

Needing: I need to shed my winter coat! This is fall y'all there is SO much good food! I need to lose so that I can gain! :)

Trick or Treat: My treat is chai tea with soy! Since this is fall ... I love all things pumpkin and apples!! That is why I need to shed my winter coat!! LOL

August Currently

YAY!!!! I'm finally back on the Currently wagon! I've missed doing these link ups these past couple of months. This summer has been a busy one and I'm excited to hopefully get back into the swing of things and get back to blogging more.

 Listening to Jason Mraz on Pandora. LOVING Pandora!!!

Loving my girl time.  My hubby took my boys camping and so right now I am having a Shutterfly night with my friends. While my friends are working on their photo books, I am working on my next TPT unit... which is sickly relaxing for me. :) My computer is the one with the huge binders next to them.. 

 Thinking of work tomorrow. I am one of the Thinking Maps trainers for my school and am presenting it to to my staff tomorrow. I love Thinking Maps and all that you can do with them! Anybody else do Thinking Maps???

Wanting a haircut. I NEED a haircut!!! My hair is long... but getting scraggly. I'm long overdue for a trim.

Needing to finish my classroom. We begin school next week and I'm still finishing up my class. There is still SO much that I want to do. 

 BTs Must Haves -

1. I LOVE my 31 bag! It holds EVERYTHING!! If you've never been to a 31 bag party, you gotta go and check out these bags. I'm really not a bag party type of gal, but I really love and believe in these bags.

2. Bright Classroom Decor - I've had the same classroom decor for years now and it's time to switch it up. I've  seen so many  REALLY cute bright classroom decor on TPT and I'm super excited to make over my classroom.

3. I've been downloading many things from TPT and printing them. I just realized that I put copier... but I really meant printer. I've seen some teachers printing and laminating things on their own. I am SO thankful that our school provides this for the teachers. 

That's my August Currently friends! School is starting soon so I'm sure that I will be posting more about my busy days. :)

Currently and My Blog Got a FACE LIFT!!!!! :)

Yay!!!! My blog finally got a face lift!!!! One thing that it means is that I will not be needing my first post found here. I LOVE LOVE my new design from Honey Bunches! They were so easy to work with and totally accommodating to me. I mean I am high maintenance like to have things done a certain way and they were GREAT with all my requests. If you or anybody you know are thinking about giving your blog a fresh new look, I highly recommend them. You will not be sorry. :)

- I love my kiddos but let's be honest... I also LOVE it when they are asleep. That is the time I get to reconnect with my honey and just have some time for myself without having to break up any arguments or wipe snotty noses. Right now though, my hubby is painting our garage.... which I will be joining him once I finish this post. This is the "Me" time I'm talking about right here. :)

- I raved about my new blog above already!

- Boot camp! I am really not a morning person AT ALL. I mean.. it's a wonder that I can get up and teach before 10am! Although there was this one time that I tried to open my classroom door with my car remote. Ha! I do love boot camp because not only do I get in shape, but my day gets started earlier, too. I leave when it's still dark and basically watch the sun rise. Did you know that the sun actually does rise in the east?? Amazing, huh?

- Mmmmm... almond butter and apples. Ever since I started boot camp, I've been super hungry! Yay for faster metabolism!

- End of the year madness for my boys! They finish in TWO DAYS and I have to get a few more things together for their teacher gifts. I'm such a procrastinator!

Love and live in my rainbow sandals in the summer! I'm so scared of getting skin cancer so I lather on the Neutrogena sunscreen with like SPF 300 or something like that. My mom is the typical Asian mom with huge sun hats and gloves. I used to make fun of her but now I secretly want to borrow them. I'm serious... I think she's onto something. :)

- I realize that I'm on my phone a lot more... on Instagram mostly. I've met so many new teacher bloggers that I just love reading about them and getting fresh ideas from them. They are all my best friends... they just don't know it yet. Ha!

Five for Friday and Currently

Today will be my first time linking up with Farley from Oh' Boy 4th Grade and Doodlebug. I'm so excited to do this!!

First up, here is my May's Currently. OK. I know I may be a *tad* late... but if you know me, I'm always fashionably late to parties. I guess better late than never, right? I'll do better for next month's Currently.

Now,  for the Five For Friday linky party. Yay! Here are 5 things that I'm highlighting this week.

1. I have only TWO more days left of being in the classroom!!! Don't hate. :) I job share so I only work Mon-Wed and next week I'm at a thinking maps training... you guessed it... on those 3 days. The following week I go to school on Monday and Tuesday is my last day. We are just gonna par-tay those 2 days (and clean up of course)! Hence the reason I said 2 more days in the "classroom" rather than "teaching" days. Ha!

2. We had Open House this week and I seriously was a little crazy China woman! It seems like every year I try and plan ahead for it and every year it STILL sneaks up on  me. I will be writing a post about it but here are just a few fun pics of the night. It was a success and my room was PACKED!

All the parents LOVED the silhouette project and the line of symmetry self portrait!

These "students" came out so cute! I love the one with the glasses!

The Estimation Station was a hit!

So FUN watching kids use sign language to sign their names and figure out our mystery message.

This was the fun table! Parent and child competing to see who could finish the math timed test first! Btw, my student beat her dad! :)

3. Because I job share, I get to stay home part of the time with my littlest little... Karis! This is her reading her bible to her Baby Cindy while I change and wash my boys' sheets.

4.  This is my other son's Mother's Day  questionnaire. I LOVE that he says that my favorite thing to do is "eat". That is TRUE!!! :) But my favorite?? "I think she's beautiful because she loves Jesus". Seriously LOVE this kid!!!

5. Not only was this week Open House, but we also gave our district writing assessment. I had them rush to get projects done and when we were done with those, I would squeeze in some writing lessons. Oh my...the week was hectic! WE needed a brain break!  This is our Baldwin Shake video (Harlem Shake Baldwin style!). Please excuse the empty cabinets in the back. This is before we put up the last Open House project. PS- LOVE my floppy hat girl!!!
